Rejoice With Us!
I swore to myself (ever so genteely, I might add) that I wouldn't post anything else until I posted pictures of my newest little sweetie. That was a month ago, so I haven't posted anything since then. Okay, so I had better get something up here or I'll never write again, to the disappointment of few.
On November 21 at 10:40 AM Central Time, we welcomed Shannon Elaine Romer to the world. Shannon was 8.0 pounds at birth and was 19-1/4 inches long, for those of you who live for such statistics. All I really needed to know was: ten fingers, ten toes, forward-facing eyes, opposable thumbs.
Now, while it was enough to know she was a healthy primate, I should add that Shannon is the most beautiful little girl the world will ever see, just like her big sister. My children exhibit quantum beauty--they were all the most beautiful baby in the whole wide world.
The birth was mercifully calm. After what happened with Michael, Kathy really deserved a break. Consequently, she and her doctor decided to schedule an inducement rather than letting nature take its course. For that, I am grateful. The epidural was so good that Kathy could not even tell when she was having contractions, but she could move her legs.
After a couple of uneventful days in the hospital, I was able to take them home. All has been well since then.
So Shannon is now a month old, and I'm finally getting this posted. I thank both my readers for their patience.
